Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks is an American actor who is most well-known for her role as Joan Holloway in the seven seasons of the period drama on AMC Mad Men (2007-2015). The show received wide acclaim from critics in the series and received nominations for six Emmy awards in the category of best supporting actress. Her work has been recognized throughout her two-decade career for her work in lawyer thriller Kevin Hill, comedy series Another Period and crime drama Tin Star. Her voice is featured in films like Drive Ginger & Rosa Lost River and the Neon Demon, The Strangers : Prey at Night Egg, and American Woman. In addition, she has provided voiceovers in animation films like From Up on Poppy Hill Toy Story 4 and Scoob!. She began as a fashion model, and worked as a model for a few years until she made her TV debut in Undressed. She played her first real part on the show in Beggars and Choosers. Her role in Firefly, a cult iconic film which was well received by audiences and critics alike, followed. Esquire magazine chose her to be the Sexiest Woman on Earth and Best-Looking American Woman for the year 2010.
